Cantabile d’Eymet, the Franco-Anglais mixed-voice choir announces its two Christmas concerts - ‘L’esprit de Noël’ - to be performed in Issigeac and Eymet.
Cantabile d’Eymet has contributed to the cultural life of the Eymet area for 28 years and is delighted to share its love of this music for the Christmas season, ‘L’esprit de Noël’ is truly a feast of choral Christmas music for everyone, spanning five centuries and drawn from the rich musical heritages of France and England, Denmark and Germany. Alongside much-loved carols ancient and modern, works include Morten Lauridsen’s O Magnum Mysterium Vaughan-Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols.
The programme is enriched by our first collaboration with Early Music ensemble ‘Les Quatre Vents’, which brings the evocative sound of crumhorns and recorders to these beautiful churches.
