About Cantabile d'Eymet

We mark the beginning of the Advent season with two concerts featuring Mozart - whose short-form setting of the Mass in C major K220 (the ‘Sparrow Mass’) was composed in 1775-76 in Salzburg - and Handel, whose great oratorio Messiah was composed in only three weeks in 1741 and first performed in April 1742 at ‘Mr. Neal’s Great Room’ in Fishamble Street, Dublin to instant acclaim. Our selections from Messiah take the epic journey from Prophecy to Revelation.

Cantabile d’Eymet is a Franco-British SATB (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) choir of up to fifty singers performing music from many traditions and eras in Portes Sud Périgord area.
